In this video, Coach Williams shares the in and outs of covering the spread offense with the 3-5-3. This defense has forced 94 turnovers over the past three seasons. Williams philosophy is keyed around three main points of emphasis: teach your players the responsibilities, find ways to apply pressure, and teach great man to man coverage. Coach Williams begins with basics assignments against twins, trips, and quads along with adjustments to motion that could put your defense at a disadvantage. Cover 3 and Cover 1 free are covered in great detail with rules and assignments for each coverage position in the 3-5-3. The final topic Coach Williams covers is disguising pressure by using five different pressure blitzes; zoo, blast, double, boom, and double dog. FD-02412: with Taylor Burks, Georgia Military College Defensive Coordinator

Georgia Military College has made a habit of dominating offenses with the 3-5-3 defense. In this DVD, Coach Burks diagrams a number of effective ways to shut down the Wing-T. The Wing-T is designed to create assignment conflicts within the defense. Burks shows how to counter this philosophy by attacking the offensive backfield and forcing the offense to make decisions and adjustments that will neutralize the strengths of the offense. This DVD covers in-depth how to defend the power sweep, waggle pass, dive play, lead play and the wingback counter all of which are the key plays in the success of any Wing-T offense. By slanting, attacking gaps, and making plays in the backfield, you can force offensive backs to bounce sideline to sideline. Coach Burks diagrams plays versus the 3-5-3's base, tuff, solid and solid head fronts and also includes blitzes that will combat the key plays in the Wing-T. This DVD is a great compliment to any of the Georgia Military 3-5-3 videos.

FD-03664A: with Rob Manchester,
Georgia Military College Defensive Coordinator

Rob Manchester has served on the GMC defensive coaching staff since 2003, serving as defensive coordinator since 2007. In seven seasons (2003-09), GMC has been a top five ranked defense four times, including #2 overall in 2007; and led the country in rush defense in 2004 and 2007. Manchester's defense helped GMC to the the NJCAA National Runner-up in 2005.

Use the 3-5-3 to match up with any offense; spread, power game and more.

In 2004, Georgia Military launched its wildly popular video series "Encyclopedia of the 3-5-3 Defense." Since then, the Bulldogs have re-invented their vaunted defense to better match up with today's offenses, to counter adjustments offenses have made to attack the 3-5-3 and to simplify the defense for their athletes.

The biggest change you will see is the ends are now in a five technique and getting out and running to the ball. This change stops the ends from getting clogged up in the middle. In addition, the ends take the dive action, which frees up the second level to make the QB in the zone read schemes.

This defense is designed to stop the run first. However, it has different coverages and front packages so that you can bring pressure in a variety of ways and can blitz either 3, 4, 5 or 6 players on any snap. The speed you can put on the field will allow you to match up with any offense style and stop any run.

Manchester talks you thru game film showing Georgia Military's base, solid, under, tuff and heads alignments versus different formations. The different defensive front packages force the offense to form new blocking rules. The defense does not cover the offensive guards, which creates a "what if" mentality because they have to account for all five players on the second level.

Manchester includes a review of the personnel needed to run the 3-5-3 Defense. He explains traits to look for in each position to help you set up your defense.

Take a fresh look at the 3-5-3 defense today!

Overwhelm your opponent's offense with these easy to teach blitz packages.

Rob Manchester has been the Defensive Coordinator at Georgia Military College since 2007. During this time the Bulldogs have earned the reputation as having one of the best defenses in the NJCAA while running the 3-5-3 defense.

This video takes Coach Manchester's years of experience in the 3-5-3 and makes it easy to understand and install with your own players.

  • This DVD contains over 25 blitzes and provides a packaging system to help eliminate doubt and confusion for your defenders. These blitz packages will force opposing offensive coordinators to spend additional practice time prepping for your defense.
  • If you run the 3-5-3, this video will help simplify your system and provide defenders with word recognition to help them play faster and without hesitation.
  • This blitz package keeps offenses guessing because there are always defenders coming; the offense just doesn't know from where.
  • Manchester's system allows his players to play faster knowing the full blitz responsibility before the offense is even set.

Every blitz is shown in diagram format, followed by a wide and end-zone video clip. Throughout, Manchester teaches you how to most effectively run the blitz and what mistakes to avoid.

If you have struggled making terminology in your blitz package easy to understand, Manchester has the answer for you.

This is the most up to date DVD of its kind that goes into such detail and makes so much sense when it comes the blitzing from the 3-5-3 defense.

Rob Manchester delivers seven man coverages that you can add to your 3-5-3 Defense. These man schemes can compliment your zone coverages by allowing you to switch back-and-forth based on the flow of the offense. These coverages also allow you to keep the same blitz package, giving you multiple looks that will cause confusion for the opposing offense.

These man coverage packages feature multiple back and under coverages. Manchester has simplified the calls used to identify the schemes to make it easier for the players to learn and implement on game day, which minimizes the margin of error. Manchester shares this system with you so you can incorporate it into your system.

Packages consist of three true man free concepts and four zero man concepts:

  • Cover Deuce - 4 man pressure perfect for first down and long distance situations versus pass as it gives you another guy underneath for coverage.
  • Cover 1 - Similar to Cover Deuce, it's a true 3-man free cover with a 5-man pressure except the non-blitzing linebacker has to cover the running back. Includes adjustments for motion to doubles and trips formations.
  • Cover 1 Fly - Same as Cover 1, but you make an adjustment when you get a trips formation. Great coverage to defend bunch sets, rub routes and wide receiver screens as it always allows you to have a free safety over top.
  • Cover 0 - Both outside guys are blitzing off the edge, only run vs. a 2-back formation. Three linebackers are in charge of two backs, with the remaining linebacker left under.
  • Cover Black - A 5-man pressure package that leaves no defenders deep. Two linebackers remain to help with the third receiver.
  • Cover Brown - This is a 6-man pressure package, leaving one linebacker to cover the running back.
  • Cover Blue - This is a 6-man pressure in which the free safety has the running back/third receiver.

Every coverage is shown in diagram format, followed by a wide and end-zone video clips. Manchester breaks down each coverage making it easy for you to understand how to use multiple coverages on the back end while remaining simple up front. Each coverage includes adjustments for motion to double and vs trips formations. You also get various looks versus multiple offensive formations, including doubles and trips look.

A great compliment to Manchester's 3-5-3 Blitz package and Zone Coverage DVDs.

Rob Manchester gives you five zone coverages that you can add to your 3-5-3 Defense. These zone schemes will compliment your man coverages to allow you to change back-and-forth based on the flow of the offense. These coverages also allow you to keep the same blitz package, giving you multiple looks that will cause confusion and force the quarterback to make quick reads that can lead to interceptions.

Manchester, with his years of experience and success in the 3-5-3, takes you through a detailed breakdown of five zone coverages.

  • Cover Gray - A 3-deep with 4-under coverage that is only run with 4-man pressure. Will allow you to cheat on any route in the flat.
  • Cover Green - A 5-man pressure package with a 3-under, 3-deep look. Forces QB to make a quick read/pass.
  • Cover Red - A rotating defense with three defensive backs where the free safety replaces the blitzing linebacker.
  • Cover Orange - Quarters coverage (four deep zone coverage) that works well against spread formation to defeat the four vertical package. Can be run versus any pro or doubles formation.
  • Cover Gold - A rotating defense with the corners and safety playing the deep middle.
  • Every coverage is shown in diagram format, followed by a wide and end-zone video clip. Throughout the video review, Manchester breaks down each coverage making it easy for you to understand how to use multiple coverages on the back end while remaining simple up front. You also get various looks versus multiple offensive formations, including doubles and trips looks.
